Business Support & Funding Opportunities for SMEs in Coventry and Warwickshire

If you are a small to medium sized business (fewer than 250 employees) in Coventry and Warwickshire, you may be interested in receiving business support, including grants from European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Programmes to help grow and develop your business.  Following the success of the three year programmes which ran from 2016 – 2018 new programmes are being launched; Business Support, Green Business and Innovation.  The ongoing support will ensure that businesses in the local area continue to grow. This event will:

  • Outline access to new funding opportunities, including grants up to £100k
  • Provide information on how businesses can access specialist support
  • Provide free advice and support for your business

Spaces are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis, so please book early to ensure a place and avoid disappointment.

Lodders Agricultural and Rural Conference

The Lodders Rural Conference brings together speakers from across the farming industry to provide their real-life experiences and insights into both the challenges and opportunities for farming and agricultural businesses.  You are invited to arrive from 2.30pm for registration and refreshments. The conference will start promptly at 3pm, followed by a light buffet supper at 5.30pm for those able to stay on.

Speakers include:

Dr Alastair Leake, Director from the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust – conservation and land management
Alison Rickett, MD of the Fresh Start Land Enterprise Centre – landowners and land based businesses in joint ventures
Dr Andrea Graham, Head of Policy Services at the NFU – future challenges and opportunities
James Blanchard of Blanchard Enterprises – restructuring, adapting and diversifying
John Rouse and Jessica Beddows, Rural Sector partners at Lodders – succession and tax planning

Revd Canon Glyn Evans from the Farming Community Network – looking after mental health

Warwickshire Food and Drink Festival

Warwick Racecourse, CV34 6HN

This second event, hosted by Warwickshire County Council, aims to showcase the quality and vibrancy of the local produce and visitor experiences all in one easy-to reach venue. It will showcase the regional food and drink offer of countywide producers including breweries, cheesemakers and chocolatiers to high quality visitor attractions, independent stockists, supermarkets and hotels. It will encourage businesses to discover and use local suppliers. It will give attendees the opportunity to meet, listen to experts and peers and find out how the county council is engaging with their tourism and food industry.

Registration is free to buyers and stand bookings are now open so get involved in this great initiative and sign up today as a buyer or a supplier.
