Warwickshire County Council has underlined its commitment to supporting tourism and culture by making a £75,000 grant fund available to organisations planning to hold events or festivals throughout the county.
The Tourism Event Funding Scheme has been devised as part of a new three-year work programme to support tourism and cultural activity across Warwickshire. Launched at the end of July, the first deadline for applications is Friday 18th September.
The scheme is designed to support those organising events and festivals and encourage them to evaluate what they do to become better equipped to gain future sponsorship and funding and sustain events for the longer term.
The council is looking for innovative projects that have demonstrable support from local businesses. Applications are welcome from Individual businesses or groups of businesses, Tourism Associations, Business Improvements Districts, Town Centre Management Groups, Tourism Groups, Business Network Group, Event and Festival Organisers and Arts organisations.
Any organisation or group interested in applying for a grant can find full details at www.warwickshire.gov.uk/tourism.
